Your approval of Items Nos. 8, 14 and 20 has

already been received as indicated in column 10 of the

schedule. I regret that by an oversight your covering

approval of Item 21 which resulted from protracted

negotiations with the Hong Kong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown

Company, Limited, was not obtained before the Supplementary

Vote was taken. This item is fully explained in the

memorandum attached to the Finance Message and I would ask

that the additional expenditure may be sanctioned.
